--------------------Details Details Details Below--------------------------------------------

Now for details.  We have eight men on the roster; we want to especially invite the women of Dartmouth cycling to get on board!!!

If there is no moderating feminine presence in Luray, VA we'll likely witness a severe devolution of culture, hygiene, and decency.  Ask Matt Nichols what it was like driving across the country with me.  Four words: Poop in a Bag.

We're pretty confident we'll be staying at Rocky Branch Retreat in Luray, VA.  Epic, epic, epic location. WiFi installed this February!  Pool table in the basement!  Satellite TV!  Horseshoe pit!  Need I say more?

For a ten day stay, March 15-24th, we're looking at $1090 total lodging tax included.  Each additional person adds $45 to that total (but lowers the overall amount per person slightly).  Divided by the eight of us confirmed in the roster, that means = $136 in lodging for the trip.  The team would probably cover lodging for the race weekend in Troy, NY on our way back to Hanover.

Transportation cost for the sprinter van was $860 for the Cycling Spring Break Trip that went to Asheville, NC a few years ago.  We'll drive less this time but I don't know if it saves us money (we rent based on the day).  So while less distance means less wear and tear and more convenience for us, it might not be much cheaper.  According to the College we have the following rate on the sprinter van: $93/day or $465/week + $.22/mile * 1200 miles round trip.

So I think we should project ~$900 for transportation costs; approximately $110/person.

Groceries were $787.49 a few years back in Asheville for ten people for a comparable size trip.  I don't know if better shopping/cooking could bring that number down...I don't think it's crazy to expect that you'll spend $100 for ten days of food, per person.  More if you eat out obviously!  You all should brush up on your cooking skills.

If you haven't, get me your deposit for $50 so I can reserve this place!  And fill out the application form!

If I'm missing something let me know.
